Fundraising Extravangaza

Throughout the years in Brisbane, we have had our fair share of fundraising escapades. Some of them are disastrous, some fruitful but whatever the outcome may be, we all have a good time. We managed to just get enough funds to do the needful. Funny about that ! But none of the fundraising schemes had us laughing to the bank. Probably a good thing, otherwise, yours sincerely may end up lapping up the luxury in some beach paradise somewhere. And postpone the spiritual path for another lifetime or two. So in some many ways, I am glad the Supreme is looking after me …

We have never done anything like that before - direct selling and worst, cold selling on the street. We make up some billboards to wear and off we go to the Indy. One day he burst in to tell us about a most brilliant idea he just had for fundraising – selling pineapple. So for the next year and a half, every Friday night we had curry puff cooking session at the Centre which we then sell at the market the next morning.
